While Monte Vista has no formulaic approach to investing, we seek opportunities which exhibit characteristics common to successful real estate investments including:

• Quality of micro-location

• Improving market demographics

• Barriers to entry and new development

• Out of favor opportunities where the firm can build a reasoned, contrarian viewpoint

We use a disciplined, research driven investment process to identify opportunities. We begin with an in-depth macroeconomics analysis to identify asset classes, geographies and parts of the capital structure that we believe will outperform in the current economic environment
